Problem
Gecko Robotics’ platform aggregates massive amounts of inspection data from robots operating in complex industrial environments. While the technology was powerful, the product experience made it difficult for users to quickly understand system status, prioritize issues, and move from data to action. Engineers and operators were spending too much time interpreting information instead of making decisions, creating friction in high-stakes workflows where clarity and speed matter.
Solution
I redesigned core parts of the product experience to translate complex robotic and inspection data into clear, actionable insights. By focusing on information hierarchy, system feedback, and user mental models, the interface made it easier to understand what was happening, what required attention, and what to do next. The result was a more intuitive, decision-driven experience that supported faster interpretation, reduced cognitive load, and aligned the UI with how engineers actually work in the field.
