Overview

Procell Therapies is a leader in professional skincare, known for its microchanneling device and patented serums used by practitioners around the world. They needed a mobile app that could support onboarding, training, and repeat purchasing in one seamless experience.


I designed the full UX, wrote the copy and messaging, and developed a mobile visual direction that extended their brand into a clean, modern app. The goal was to simplify practitioner workflows, improve reordering consistency, and give Procell a digital experience that matched the quality of their technology.


The app launched and is still in use today, with increased conversions and stronger practitioner engagement.

Problem

Practitioners loved the product, but the buying and training experience was fragmented. They wanted faster access to Procell devices, easier reordering of serums, and clear onboarding so new users could get started without confusion.


Procell needed an app that could:


• Streamline device and serum purchasing

• Improve repeat order consistency

• Support new practitioner onboarding

• Deliver training in a way that felt modern and intuitive

• Reflect the premium quality of the brand


They had no previous mobile experience, so this required building the entire product from the ground up.

Goals

The app needed to:

  1. Turn Procell into a go-to daily tool for practitioners

  2. Reduce friction in purchasing and reordering

  3. Make onboarding and training quick, simple, and self-guided

  4. Bring a consistent brand and tone into every screen

  5. Increase conversion and build long-term loyalty

My Role

I owned the UX and copy for the project from start to finish.


UX Design

I mapped the full user journey, built flows for onboarding, training, certification, shopping, device education, and repeat purchasing.

Everything was designed with real practitioner habits in mind.

Copywriting and Messaging

I created a clean, trustworthy tone that matched Procell’s scientific credibility but still felt warm and human.

Brand Voice and Visual Direction

I extended Procell’s existing brand into a mobile environment, choosing colors, typography, iconography, and microcopy that aligned with their logo and broader identity.

Ideation

We went through tight stakeholder feedback loops to ensure the final product represented the vision of the people who know it inside and out.

Designed for the real workflow of estheticians who reorder on the go.

  2. Clean, Modern UI: Premium visuals that feel aligned with the quality of the Procell brand.

  3. Brand Aligned Messaging: Short, direct, supportive copy that helps users make decisions quickly.

Outcome

The final product launched in 2021 and is still active today.

Practitioners use it regularly to access training and order supplies.

Conversions increased after launch, especially with repeat product purchasing.


The app became a reliable touchpoint of the Procell brand, and the visual identity I created still guides their mobile experience.
